Friday

"Shoot for the moon, because if you miss you'll either burn up in the atmosphere or hurtle through space endlessly,
and even if you make it, you're still on an desolate wasteland all by yourself."
-Adam Wolf. It's a good theme for this entry.

This week was really long, and today was awful for myself, and a lot of my friends as well. We're playing video games tomorrow morning, and going to Little Rock in the evening, though, so tomorrow should be much better. Here's hoping.

I wrote a poem with my friend Jessica's magnetic poetry. It goes like this:
drink light
science fight
just write
game night
bust some heads

And I thought I hated rhyming poems. See what I've been missing out on? Yeah, I know it sucks, but I like it.

Sunday

I played Halo for the first time today. It has been a good day.
If you're going to have children, have the decency to raise them and not be stupid about it. There are two people I haven't even ever met whom I'd like to destroy because they did not. It should be illegal to just go and ruin someone's life.

Angry. Sad. Nauseous.

Friday

Harding has switched toilet paper distributors. The new stuff is softer. Today can't be all that bad, then, can it?

It's been a long week. Long semester, whatever. The main reason is my calculus II class. 8 am. Lots of homework. Blah. I like it, alright, but it really just eats up a lot of my time.

Part of our choir and a bit of our chorus as well are coming together to perform Turandot with a few other college groups and the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra. There are very few moments when I don't have bits of it stuck in my head. I randomly sing in italian. My friends laugh at me. It's great. It is a lot of fun, and I'm excited about it, but again. It eats a lot of time.

17 hours this semester, though I'm in class 27 hours a week. Calc II, Chem, Chem Lab, Discrete Math, American Government, Old Testament Survey, Choir. On the upside, I'm still finished by 2 pm, except tuesdays, which go til five.

I've discovered minute rice. It adds a lovely variety to the ramen-spaghettios diet that had come into existance because of my schedule.

This weekend shouldn't be too bad. No real assigned homework, but there's stuff I should work on. I'll sleep in tomorrow; it'll be great. Tonight, a bunch of us are going to the Bible Building to watch The Frog Prince. I haven't seen it since I was about eight. I'm worried about my childhood perceptions being shattered, but I'm going anyway. Jessica's got a thing for the movie. After that, maybe we'll hit midnight oil. I don't know.

Yesterday was Jedidiah's birthday. I got him some army men to balance out the Cinderella alarm clock that Jessica and Julie got him. I got myself some army men as well.

Rachel has been making banana bread and sharing it with me, which is nice. And Maya just starting to get the knack of sitting up. She's getting better at it, but we think she just recently started teething. Not fun.

I found out the other day that I'm a national merit finalist. My scholarship for next year has more than doubled. I'm not complaining.

I'm going to try to keep this more regularly, so I don't have to be so broad when I write, but that probably won't happen.

I think it's time for more rice.
